who we are
We are an Armenian-based NGO founded by an interdisciplinary team of Diasporan Armenians across the US, Canada, France, UK, Germany, and Armenia.
Our mission is to develop advanced mental health solutions and bionics to empower the amputee community. We are driven by a holistic approach focusing on both psychological and physical empowerment; while also creating a public good by training and educating students, veterans, and amputees.
oqni's initiative grew out of necessity as a result of the recent war in 2020; this added to an already relatively high number of amputees (~5,000), a lack of modern technology, complete neglect of mental health, and limited funds available.
